Sometimes a dream becomes lucid, i.e. we realise that we are dreaming, and then
almost immediately we dream that we wake up, i.e. non-lucidity is restored. Sometimes
this happens repeatedly.
If dreams are made by a dream-maker in order to generate
a given experience, and non-lucidity is a desired but not guaranteed state of the
audience, then dreaming that one wakes up from a lucid dream can be seen as a devious
device which the dream-maker applies in order to restore lost non-lucidity.
